LEES welcomes guest researcher at the institute

The institute welcomes Mr. Gaetano Polizzi as a guest researcher for the summer semester 2023!

Mr. Polizzi received his master’s degree in Automation Engineering from the University of Calabria in 2018. He is currently a PhD student in Electrical Systems for Energy at the Department of Mechanical, Energy and Management Engineering (DIMEG) of the same university. His current research interests include power generation, transmission and distribution systems; distributed generation from Renewable Sources; distributed storage; power converter control algorithms.

His work at the institute is related to the modelling and simulation of nano/microgrid using Real Time Simulation systems. The target is to test the implementation of different control strategies for three-phase grid inverter with the aim to obtain grid stability support in terms of frequency regulation.
