On September 16th and 17th, the NEIS Conference took place in Hamburg. The conference provided a forum for scientists to discuss the most critical aspects of a sustainable energy system, focusing on methods and practical approaches for energy system planning and management.

Our Institute of Electrical Energy Systems was represented by two contributions:

Andreas Bammes presented an automated test method for determining the capacitive state of health of electric vehicle batteries for second-life applications and Georg Kordowich presented a framework enabling automatic differentiation for dynamic power system simulations:

Exciting presentations sparked ideas and discussions, and a poster session provided a platform for researchers to showcase their innovative projects, fostering further engagement and collaboration among participants. We would like to thank the IEEE Power & Energy Society and the Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg especially to Prof. Detlef Schulz for the great organization.
